Privacy Policy

How BazzarGuru collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you buy, sell, bid, or hire through the marketplace.

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This is a starting-point template for a B2B industrial marketplace — reasonable, plain-language boilerplate, not final legal advice. Have it reviewed by counsel qualified in Indian law before relying on it in production.

01Who this applies to

This policy covers everyone who visits BazzarGuru ("we", "us") — buyers, sellers, auction bidders, Freeker specialists, and site visitors — across our website and any connected apps. Creating an account, listing a product, placing a bid, or sending an enquiry means you've read and accepted how we handle your data below.

02Information we collect

We collect information in three broad buckets:

  • Account data — name, company name, email, phone number, password (hashed), business type, GST/MSME details where provided, and your city/state during signup or profile setup.
  • Listing & transaction data — product listings, specifications, images, prices, auction bids, subscription/plan selections, and payment metadata (we do not store full card or bank details ourselves — see Payments in our Terms & Conditions).
  • Enquiry & communication data — messages sent through Contact Seller, Freeker reach-outs, work requests, lead forms, complaint/report submissions, and support conversations (including anything you send us via the help widget or email).
  • Usage data — pages viewed, searches, device and browser type, and approximate location inferred from IP, collected automatically via cookies and analytics (see below).

03How we use it

  • Operate core marketplace features — listings, search, auctions, messaging, and Freeker hiring.
  • Verify sellers and reduce fraud (badges, ratings, and report review).
  • Route enquiries between buyers, sellers, and Freekers, and notify you of bids, replies, and account activity.
  • Bill subscriptions and process payments through our payment gateway partner.
  • Improve the product using aggregated, largely de-identified usage analytics.
  • Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations in India.

04Cookies & analytics

We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. Where enabled, we also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns — this sets analytics cookies and shares standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) with Google under their terms. Analytics loads only when a measurement ID is configured for the environment you're on; it is not active on every deployment. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some marketplace features may not work correctly without them.

05Who we share it with

  • Other users — your company name, listings, ratings, and (when you enquire or reply) contact details are visible to the counterparty of that transaction, by design.
  • Service providers — payment gateway, hosting/ infrastructure, email/SMS delivery, and analytics providers, solely to operate the platform. They're bound to use your data only for the service they provide us.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, court order, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or a violation of our Terms.

We do not sell your personal data.

06Data retention

We keep account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, dispute-resolution, and fraud-prevention obligations. Listings and public profile content may remain visible after a related transaction closes (e.g. a sold listing's history) unless you request removal and no legal basis requires us to keep it.

07Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • Access, correct, or update your account and listing information from your dashboard.
  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal/record-keeping exceptions.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time.

To exercise any of these, email adityabisht.cx@gmail.com from your registered account email — we'll respond within a reasonable time.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account or data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

09Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
